Three Floors of Purpose

Built in the 1940s as a brick warehouse for packing candy and cigarettes, the building had a second incarnation as a local finance firm. Looking ahead to a future purpose, owners Albert Wenger and Gigi Danziger reimagined The Spark Building as a space designed for community, connection, and creativity. Five years of thoughtful renovation preserved the exposed brick and industrial character while adding floods of natural light and modern amenities that strike the perfect balance of warm and professional. Now we host everything from free community workshops and bridal showers to dinner parties and book launches. Read more below about why we’re here.

The bones remember the past; the space is built for the future.

Why We’re Here

The Spark Building exists to prove that exceptional experiences and community impact aren't separate pursuits–they're the same thing done right. When you choose to host a retreat, celebrate a milestone or co-work here, you're not just choosing a beautiful space in one of the Hudson Valley's most vibrant towns. You're choosing to sustain the infrastructure that makes community connection possible.

Every corporate offsite, cocktail party, product launch, and board retreat generates revenue that contributes to building operations, staff salaries, and the day-to-day costs of maintaining this space–ensuring that The Spark of Hudson can continue to offer free and accessible workshops, youth apprenticeships, and a variety of programs to all Hudson residents. Your team-building retreat keeps the lights on for someone's first coding class. Your celebration pays the coordinator who organizes grief support circles. Your event helps fund the staff who recruit and support volunteer workshop leaders.
